Last month my bingeing got really bad again. In a period of two weeks I put on 18.8 pounds, and spent hours crying with terrible stomach aches. It was obviously really disappointing to have failed at recovery again (or at least to have hit a major stumbling block). 

However, this is not a terrible story. Two weeks ago I face timed my mom and was crying. She told me to stop dwelling on everything that had gone wrong and that “tomorrow was a new day.” Usually I just roll my eyes at that statement, but for some reason it hit me really hard. So, I’ve been working really hard and I’m back on track. 

I guess what I’m saying is that we have to be open to failure, accept it, and move on. Here’s hoping this new attitude lasts for a very long time!

Breakfast today is just a grapefruit because I was up really late writing a paper and then at 3 am the fire alarm went off and I had to stand outside in the rain for 30 min… Obviously my day is off to a great start.
